T Magazine, a NYT brand launched in a new market. An editorial platform, shop, and membership system shipped for its German debut.
From issue No. 1 to a daily publishing operation: we built the system that lets a small editorial team run seven desks, ship video-led covers, sell issues and memberships, and grow a newsletter list — without a developer in the loop.
The final system is perceived closer to a luxury publication or cultural platform than to a classic news site — forming a more modern and emotionally expressive brand positioning.
We set three targets before the first screen: return-visitor share, active time per session, and scroll depth to the end of an article. Habit, attention, completion. Everything else: layout, type size, how much a cover moves was argued out against those.
